Background and Expertise

Lindsey attended Louisiana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, and with dual minors in Business and Psychology. Here, Lindsey was honored by induction to the Golden Key International Honor Society and to Phi Sigma Theta. She was also a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity where she served as the Vice President of Membership.

Lindsey earned her Juris Doctorate from Belmont University College of Law. While at Belmont, Lindsey participated in the Belmont University College of Law American Inn of Court and was a member of the Entertainment Law Society and the American Bar Association. Lindsey also participated in Belmont’s Negotiation Practicum where she earned the “Best Performance” award. During law school, Lindsey interned under Judge James J. Brady for the United States District Court in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This internship offered Lindsey hands-on experience and confirmed her desire to pursue an area of law where she could engage in regular courtroom practice.

After graduation, Lindsey gained valuable family law experience through her time spent volunteering at a local legal clinic. She then applied these skills while working for a family law firm where she further developed her knowledge base and skills necessary to confidently practice family law in any environment.

Because of her degree in public relations, Lindsey understands the importance of maintaining trusting relationships with her clients. Additionally, serving others has been a constant priority in Lindsey’s life. In her spare time, Lindsey volunteers at the West Nashville Dream Center creating bonds with children who are in need of leadership.

Lindsey’s love of children is something she also applies to the practice of family law. In a system governed by statutes where judges often never have the chance to meet the children whose lives will be affected, Lindsey knows that no two children are the same. Lindsey takes time to consider how various parenting arrangements could impact the specific children involved, and she encourages all parties to work together to focus on effective co-parenting.

Lindsey was first drawn to family law because she saw the opportunity to have a significant positive impact on the lives of those with whom she would work. Now Lindsey is committed to providing support and guidance to her clients during times of need.

Interests and Hobbies

In her free time, Lindsey enjoys taking her dog, Fitz—affectionately known as the office pet—on walks and to the dog park. She also cherishes quality time with friends, often engaging in a variety of social outings. When work allows her to, traveling is one of Lindsey’s main hobbies, whether exploring new places or returning to her home state of Louisiana.
