Background and Interests

Pilar grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has built a life rooted in both service and continuous learning. She attended the University of South Carolina and Liberty University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Strategic Intelligence, as well as a Master of Public Administration. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Criminal Justice. In 2018, she relocated to Nashville from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Outside of her professional work, Pilar enjoys spending time with her children and dogs, cooking for family and friends, writing poetry, and giving back through volunteer efforts. She values meaningful connections, creativity, and making a positive impact in both her personal and professional life.
