Grace Anderson is a dedicated and compassionate attorney and a newly named Partner at Digby Family Law, PLC. Since joining the firm, Grace has been a steadfast advocate for clients navigating some of life’s most challenging transitions. Her journey with Digby Family Law has been marked by a deep commitment to client-focused representation and a passion for ensuring families find stability and security through the legal process.
Grace’s path to Digby Family Law began with a strong academic foundation and diverse legal experiences that shaped her approach to family law. Grace graduated magna cum laude from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Business. During her undergraduate years, she was a Presidential Scholar and an ambassador for the Howard College of Arts and Sciences, in addition to serving as President of her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi.
While earning her Juris Doctorate from The University of Alabama School of Law on a full-tuition academic scholarship, she honed her legal writing and research skills as Editor-in-Chief of the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review. Her dedication to legal excellence was evident through her federal and state clerkships, including positions at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office for Jefferson County, Alabama. It was during her time in law school at the University of Alabama that she developed a deep-seated interest in family law, particularly through her work in the Domestic Violence Clinic, where she assisted victims in securing legal protection and navigating complex family matters.
Since joining Digby Family Law, Grace has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s impact, handling complex divorce, custody, and support cases with diligence and care. Grace’s contributions have been instrumental in reinforcing her reputation for excellence in family law representation.
Grace’s practice focuses on all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence matters. Her extensive background in trial preparation and client advocacy enables her to approach each case with precision and a deep understanding of the legal and emotional complexities involved.
Grace is particularly known for her strategic and empathetic approach to high-conflict divorce and custody cases. Her ability to guide clients through emotionally charged situations with clarity and confidence sets her apart as a trusted advocate. She is passionate about ensuring her clients feel heard and supported, and works tirelessly to secure fair and favorable outcomes for their families.
Grace’s dedication to excellence has been recognized throughout her career, from receiving multiple academic awards—including the Dr. George V. Iron Scholarship and the Mitchell B. Garett Alumni Award—to her selection as Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review. Grace has recently further expanded her professional expertise by completing training to become a Rule 31 listed mediator and is looking forward to adding mediation to her practice this spring. As a testament to her impact at Digby Family Law, she has received praise from clients and colleagues alike for her meticulous case preparation and compassionate representation.
Grace had assisted me with a post divorce matter that carried on longer than I could’ve anticipated. However, I firmly believe I couldn’t have had the outcome I did without her help. She was extremely professional with me, the defendant and in the court room. She was quick and thorough with her responses whenever I needed assistance. She advised me to be patient when I needed to be and kept me informed about anything and everything that was going on throughout the process. Not once did she advise anything that had me question her. She knows what she’s doing and it showed in the end. If she practiced every type of law, she’d be my go-to.
As a newly named Partner at Digby Family Law, Grace is excited to continue growing the firm’s reach and furthering its mission of providing top-tier family law services. She is passionate about mentorship within the legal community and looks forward to guiding new attorneys in their journeys, while also deepening her expertise in family law cases.
Outside of the office, Grace enjoys spending time with her husband Austin, daughter, Harper, and goldendoodle, Andi. Whether perfecting a new recipe with her husband or enjoying a day on the golf course, she values the balance between her professional and personal life.
